Born 1969. Until 1995 studies in Medicine at Medical School Hannover & Emory University in Atlanta. Phd 1996, Postdoc and Habilitation, 2002 appointment to a W2-professorship for physiology at the Faculty of Medicine, Goethe-University Frankfurt (2006). Since 2008: leader (W3-professorship) of the Center of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine at the Goethe-University Frankfurt.
